 Code Of Conduct

In order to advance the principals of sportsmanship and fair play and to promote mutual respect among players, coaches, officials and spectators, St. Joseph’s CYO has established a Code of Conduct.

The Code of Conduct shall govern the actions of all players, coaches and Parents/Spectators. The Code is intended to provide behavioral guidance and establish clear expectations for all involved. The Code does not address every possible behavioral circumstance, however, it shall serve as a foundation of the Organization’s belief’s and principles.

St. Joseph’s CYO is an instructional league in which the player’s participation comes first and foremost.  Although competition is an integral part of any sporting event, all participants shall have equal playing time at all positions, taking the child’s ability into consideration to protect their health and safety. It shall be the obligation of ALL program participants, parents, spectators and volunteers, to comply with the terms and provisions of the Code of Conduct. Any person violating the Code shall be subject to administrative action, up to and including termination of their and/or their children’s privileges to participate in, or attend, any or all of St. Joseph’s CYO sponsored activities.

Coaches

Coaches shall remain unconditionally supportive of the Organization’s commitment to the ideals of good sportsmanship, team play, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority. Likewise, coaches shall remain sensitive to the physical and emotional well being of the players on his/her team. In order to adhere to these doctrines the coaches shall:

Parents and Players Code of Conduct: St. Joseph’s CYO is a volunteer organization. All those involved including parents and spectators must make an effort to ensure that all CYO rules and regulations, including our Code of Conduct are followed.
